Parents, please know that we are for you as you disciple your children.
Your choice to follow Jesus profoundly affects your children and their ability to follow Jesus.
You will always be their first example of a disciple of Jesus.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church is offered during the 11:00 am worship service for children ages 2 years old through 4th grade.
Children begin worship with their families before being dismissed following the choir special for an age-appropriate
lesson and activities centered on God’s Word.
Children ages 2 through 1st grade use the Hands-On Bible curriculum from Group Publishing, while students in 2nd through 4th grade use the Action Bible Curriculum. Both programs provide engaging, interactive lessons focused on biblical truths and stories.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is one of the highlights of the summer as children, youth, and families from both the church and community come together to learn about Jesus and grow in faith. VBS is typically held during the second or third week of July and is open to children ages 2 through high school.
Each year features a themed curriculum filled with Bible stories, Scripture memory, music, crafts, games, and hands-on activities that teach children how to apply biblical truths to everyday life. This summer’s theme, Rainforest Falls from Group Publishing, will focus on exploring God’s creation and His love for us.
The week concludes with a special program where students share the songs they have learned, followed by a hot dog supper and fellowship activities for families and friends.
Children’s Christmas Musical
Each year, the children and youth of our church present a special Christmas musical to celebrate and honor
the birth of Jesus Christ. Children ages 3 years old through middle school participate in the production,
with high school students often assisting as part of the program.
Preparation begins in October as children learn songs and begin rehearsals. Practices are held during Sunday
mornings throughout November and December, with additional evening rehearsals on select
Wednesday and Sunday evenings in December.
The Christmas musical is a meaningful tradition that allows children to share the message of Christ’s
birth through music, drama, and worship while bringing families and the church
community together during the Christmas season.
Additional Children's Resources
Here is a great article about family discipleship
"Family discipleship is training your family in what is true, without regard to the condescending opinions of those in other camps. You are equipping your kids with a lens by which to see the world as it truly is, broken and in desperate need of a Savior."
